Name: Pete Egerton
Likes: A selection from many… all my family and friends, my home town football club, Macclesfield Town, my bed (which I don’t get to see enough!) and I often stop and stare at big tractors!
Dislikes: Too many to go through but in particular: Arrogance and a lack of manners, especially when people are behind the wheel of their car…how hard is it to wave and say “thanks?!”
Best Film: Back to the Future…but the Goonies and Finding Nemo are up there too, “just keep swimming, just keep swimming!”
Best TV show: Postman Pat…how can you not enjoy watching Peter Fogg with his tractor, plough and log lifting machine too?!
Best TV commercial: None whatsoever because the breaks are a great time to make a brew.
Best crisps: Pickled Onion Monster Munch…no other surpasses
Best place in North Yorkshire: Sutton Under Whitestonecliffe…you can’t beat the view at the top of the white horse.
Favourite smell: Freshly cut grass
When I was a kid I always wanted to be: A farmer…hence the love of tractors.
Most famous person I’ve ever met: Andrea Corr once said I was nice…didn’t meet her, she was in a London studio, but it’s a good enough claim to fame for me.
I couldn’t live without: Sleep!
The TV character who’s most like me: Nobody because as Chesney once said “I am the One and Only”…a special boy!
I’ve never laughed so much as when… I watched Peter Kay’s “Mum wants a Bungalow” tour.
When I’m not on the radio I can be found…In the office…faffing!
If I was an electrical appliance, I would be a…toaster on the basis that as a kid, I went through a phase of just eating toast!
If I had one wish, it would be: Although money isn’t everything, a lottery jackpot win would be nice!
Me in three words: Down To Earth
