Name:
Alex Brown
Likes:
Tea and sunshine.
Dislikes:
Wasps, winter and liver.
Best Film:
I'd like to say something really arty and high-brow, but instead I'll go for Borat. Is nice - I like!
Best TV show:
'I’m Alan Partridge’. I model my presenting style on him.
Best TV commercial:
Shackleton’s High Seat Chairs.
Best crisps:
Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference Tortilla Chips. They’re soooo nice.
Best place in North Yorkshire:
Too many to choose from, but I'll probably go for Bolton Abbey. The countryside around there is stunning.
Favourite smell:
The smell you get when it rains for the first time after a long, dry spell.
When I was a kid I always wanted to be:
A radio presenter. It was a phase I never grew out of.
Most famous person I’ve ever met:
The Queen – she visited my school, and I demonstrated one of our computers to her, which had just crashed.
I couldn’t live without:
The Internet. How did we ever live without it?
The TV character who’s most like me:
Doctor Jack from Lost – heroic, dynamic and with rugged good looks. Either him or Norris from Coronation Street.
I’ve never laughed so much as when…
…my friend told me he was going on a canal holiday on ‘The Cheshire Ring’. Not sure why I found it so funny, but I laughed solid for about an hour, and nearly fell off my chair at one point. I had been in the sun all day long, and had a bit to drink. That's my excuse.
When I’m not on the radio I can be found…
…at the gym or doing DIY on my house – there’s a lot that needs doing.
If I was an electrical appliance, I would be a…
…teasmade.
If I had one wish, it would be:
Always to be happy and healthy.
Me in three words:
Great, smashing, super.
